Pompano Beach Pier is a popular public fishing pier that’s open to the public. It is located at 222 N Pompano Beach Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062.  During the day, the pier is a popular place to walk, especially at dawn and sunset. You can also catch a glimpse of the resident pelicans and enjoy the ocean views.

The pier’s expansion project is almost a year behind schedule. This is due to the fact that the project required five building permits, including permits from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The expansion project is expected to include an additional deck area, which will be east of the Coastal Construction Control Line. 

The Pier is also home to some great seafood restaurants. A local favorite, the Oceanic, serves delicious seafood dishes and has a beautiful view of the ocean.  The city’s public parks offer a variety of recreation opportunities, including fishing, boating, and other sports.  A walkable area along the pier is an excellent place to enjoy the sunset or sunrise. You’ll find restaurants and fishing areas, and there are plenty of free parking spaces, too. Unlike other cities, Pompano Beach has much better parking fees, so you’re sure to find a spot to park your car and enjoy your stay in the area.

 Pompano Beach has seen a major improvement to its beachfront in recent years. The city’s new pier, which is a state-of-the-art facility, is a great addition to the area. However, there’s a limit to how many people can enjoy the new fishing facilities.

 There’s also a lighthouse that sits atop the pier. This 142-foot landmark was first lit in 1907 and has the brightest light in the United States. It is often called the “Big Diamond” and is an icon in the city. The lighthouse is operated by the U.S. Coast Guard and is usually closed to the public.

 Currently, construction is underway on a hotel at Pompano Beach Pier. The hotel will be a Hilton brand hotel and has an expected completion date of December 2020. There are also plans for a restaurant at the Pier Parking Garage. About six thousand square feet of retail space will be located at the Pier. The space will be divided into four units. The developer is currently negotiating with a Greek and French bakery to lease the space.
