The Sample-McDougald House is a 4,700 square foot historic home located at 450 NE 10th St, Pompano Beach, FL 33060. Built in 1916, this home was originally located on Dixie Highway but was relocated to its present location in 2001. The Sample-McDougald House Preservation Society was founded in 1999 by a group of community volunteers. In 2000, the Society sought community support to move the historic home to another location, and received grant funds from the State of Florida and Broward County. The house was relocated over seven hours and is now open to the public for tours. It is closed on Sundays.
